In 2021, the International Mountain Tourism Alliance (IMTA) gathered experts to formulate?the International Guidebook for the Development of Hiking, which provides professional technical guidance for mountain hiking tourism and promotes its standardized development. Based on the Guidebook, the IMTA has certified a total of 26 "IMTA International Mountain Hiking Tourism Demonstration Routes" from around the world, including the Chamonix Part of the Tour du Mont Blanc in France, the Xingyi Wanfenglin Hiking Route in China, the Changbai Mountain Forest Secret Land Mountain?Hiking Tourist?Route in China, the Mundum Trail?in Nepal, and the Luang Prabang-Nong Khiaw Hiking Trail in Laos, etc. It?has inspired enthusiasm and motivation among mountain hiking tourism developers and enthusiasts from all over the world, and generated?widespread?attention and enthusiastic response from both the society and industry.
